Terms of use
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Draft — not yet legally reviewed. This document was written as a working basis, not a final document. Before the service opens to the public it needs a lawyer's sign-off — especially the sections on demo funds and the nature of the service.
1. General
These terms of use apply to any use of the TipTop website (the "Service"). Registering for the Service or continuing to use it constitutes agreement to these terms and to the privacy policy.
2. What the Service is — and isn't
TipTop is a platform where users ("tiptopers") share analysis and picks on sports match outcomes, and other users can buy access to those picks. TipTop is not a betting site and does not enable actual wagering. Any use a user makes of a pick — including betting on a third-party site — is that user's sole responsibility.
3. Minimum age
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and up. By registering, the user represents that they meet the age requirement. Note: the site does not yet have an age-verification mechanism, and this is a point that needs to be reviewed with a lawyer before a wide launch.
4. User account
You must register with true and current details. Each user may hold only one account. The user is responsible for keeping their password confidential and for any action taken through their account.
5. Wallet and money — an important clarification
Every amount on the site, including "balance," "escrow," and tip prices, is fake money only. It is not real money, cannot be withdrawn, converted, or used outside the site, and does not represent any financial obligation of the site operator toward the user. This is a development and demonstration stage of the Service. If and when real payment is added, these terms will be updated accordingly and shown to users before the change takes effect.
6. Where the money goes, and the platform fee
A paid tip has a fixed price — $1.00 — not set by the tiptoper. When a tip is purchased, the amount is deducted from the buyer's available balance and held in "escrow" until the match is decided.
This is payment for access to the pick, not a bet on its outcome — the amount is paid to the tiptoper (minus the platform fee) whether the tip came true or not. The buyer does not get a refund for a tip that was wrong.
- The tip settled (came true or not): the amount is released to the tiptoper minus a platform fee of 30% of the purchase amount, which TipTop keeps. The tip's outcome still counts toward the tiptoper's track record, even though it no longer affects payment.
- The match was called off, postponed, or no result was recorded: the full amount is refunded to the buyer, the pick does not count toward the tiptoper's statistics, and no fee is charged.
Rounding: the fee is calculated in cents and rounded down, meaning any remainder of less than a cent stays with the tiptoper rather than with TipTop.
The fee rate may change in the future. The fee rate is saved on each purchase individually at the time it's made, so a future change does not apply retroactively to tips already sold and not yet settled. Such a change will be shown to tiptopers in advance.
After a tip settles, the buyer may be offered the option to give the tiptoper a voluntary tip — an additional, entirely optional payment, split between the tiptoper and TipTop at the same rate.
7. Tiptoper content
A pick is the personal opinion of the tiptoper who published it, and is not professional advice, a guaranteed forecast, or advice of any kind. TipTop does not review or verify the content of picks, and is not responsible for their accuracy, for match outcomes, or for decisions users make in reliance on them.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Opening more than one account per user
- Attempting to manipulate the trust mechanism (for example, publishing false tips to reach the free-tips threshold)
- Harassment, abusive content, or infringing the rights of other users
- Any attempt to bypass the site's security or lock mechanisms
9. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is." TipTop does not guarantee continuous availability or the accuracy of information (including matches, odds, and results), and is not liable for any direct or indirect damage arising from use of the Service, including financial losses arising from bets a user placed on a third-party site.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the courts of the State of Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Contact
